IBP Local Members - Attach to Options

Can someone please explain how to use the Column and Row Axis attachment options for Local Members. When I try to use these options, the local members no longer appear on the report.

Or, if there is a good reference which you can point me to for how to use the attach to options for Local Members, that would be greatly appreciated. I can not find any documentation on all of the options.

I have found that to use the column / row axis referencing, within Sheet Options, under the Local Member section, Use Position in Axis must be checked.
