IBP jobs templates

Hi,

We are implementing IBP, and we would like to schedule some IBP job templates from SAP ECC instead of IBP Web.

Do you have any information/experience on this? Could you please let us know which communication scenario should we implement?

I am not aware of scheduling IBP job templates from ECC or S4. However, we have used third party job scheduling tool 'Refwood'. It has capability to manage dependencies between S4 & IBP jobs.

Hi Carlos,

We can get the job trigger in any system that supports ODATA services. ECC and S4 are by default has this enabled and so it is possible to set up. But the configurations with respect to Reading the templates, Triggering the templates, returning the events of success and failures, re-trigger and so on should be managed where ABAP and BASIS people would give good idea on the development.

SAP suggest us to use the external schedulers such as REDWOOD(most used), SAP SOLUTION MANAGER(SAP suggested) or POSTMAN. They are built for this purpose and the process chains can be built on these system with drag-drop functionalities that are easy to manage.
