hello,
Im modelling 3 stage supply chain (production facility, docks, customer facing location) in which at the first stage the production varibility should be the main driver of out safety stock due to intrinsic uncertainty of production.
How do I represent this situation in SAP IBP IO? Which master data or key figure should I use?
Regards
MF

Hi,
Check the following master data attributes in IBPLOCATIONPRODUCT.
SAFETYSTOCKPOLICY: Safety Stock Policy Indicator; F - FCFS (first come first serve) ; All demand streams get the highest service level (default if missing or non-supported letter); D - Divide; Calculates safety stock for each demand stream independently and adds them up (no pooling); I - Independent Demand Only; Calculates safety stock for independent demand streams only (for example, plants with limited capacity)
SERVICELEVELTYPE: Service Level Type; A - Available in Full (Non-stockout probability) (Default); F - Fill Rate
STOCKINGNODETYPE: Stocking Node Type; S - Stocking Node (default); N - Non-stocking node
No inventory is calculated at non-stocking nodes, they are treated as a flow through nodes. However, lead-time of a non-stocking node does impact downstream nodes.
