Hi, has anyone integrated IBP, with a non SAP system? I mean another ERP?
From here:
And from note 2479514, I deduce that it is possible, but I am not sure and neither about its limitations.
Thanks!

HI Alexis,
The link and SAP Note that you have shared points to integrating Data into IBP Order Series Planning Area using SDI.
Here SDI is capable of pulling data into IBP from External System using Flat Files.
So your Architecture should be as below
External Source (Non SAP) --> Flat Files Generation --> SDI extracts data from Flat Files to IBP Oder Based Planning Area.
In Case you want to pull data into an Time Series Planning Area then you need to use CPI-DS. In this case too you can make use of Flat Files.'In First step extract your data from non SAP system into Flat Files. And then pull the Data from Flat files to IBP using CPI-DS.

Thanks a lot for your quick answers!!
It is what I was guessing. Now lets see how to evaluate the effort 🙂 as with SAP it is a straigth forward way to extract the data, with another ERP will be tough.

Hi,
It is possible to integrate external systems with Integrated Business Planning application. It depends on the external system data flow and complexity of data sets.
IBP data can be integrated with an external system via Inbound and Outbound integration process. Most important is what kind of data to exchange between systems.
SDI: Open API - Extract the data into a flat-file and use File adaptor (Data Provisioning Agent) communicated with IBP and upload the data in order series.
CPI-DS: Extract the data from the external system into a flat file and then map source and target using CPI-DS and run the job to upload data into IBP time series.
From limitations perspective, it depends on the volume of data to be transferred and data integration is not a real-time.
