IBP & HCI-DS: import HCI global variables into IBP for jobs

Hi experts,

We have managed to set up a Communication Arrangement between our IBP and HCI-DS system, so we can now start and schedule integration jobs from IBP. However, there is also the possibility to choose a number of variables in this job. When we fill here a 'Global Variable' from HCI-DS, we get the required result, so HCI takes this variable into account.

We were wondering whether there is a possibility to get all Global Variables from HCI-DS in IBP? That would make it very easy to start jobs directly from IBP! It seems that there is a selection possibility, so how to upload these?

As you can see in the screenshot, we do not get any options if we click on 'Variable Name'

Hi Kristof,

Yes. You could pass the Global Variables for the HCI jobs scheduled in IBP. To do so you need first to specify the number of Global Variables that your job needs. Afterwards you will be presented with a Name and Value pair.
Variable Name: the Global Variable name defined in the HCI tasks.
Variable Value: the value for the above Global Variable.

Thanks for your feedback. However, is it possible to get all possible options for 'Variable Name' based on the Global from the selection screen? As you can see in your screenshot, you can open a selection screen for the field 'Variable Name', but there we get 'No Matching Items Found' (see screenshot in my initial question here)/

Hi Kristof,

Please first specify the Global Variable number then type in the Global Variable name directly in the field.
