IBP Excel user mistakes

Hi All,

I have a request from user which is something new to me. Sales Forecast is an editable KF and some times in a flow user is mistakenly entering value at KF field and saves the data. though system is promting a warning message like some invalid changes are there, user is ignoring that pop up and saving the data. If he refresh the template, all his changes are lost (not saved). Its a huge task to him re entering for all the records again.

Is there any way to avoid this type of user errors?

Hi,

Please explore data validation for labels.

This is how it works. If user tries to input KF values and updates labels at the same time by mistake, data validation won't allow changes in label. Upon cancelling it, system doesn't discard changes in KF data.

Thanks for the reply, can you please provide a detailed screen shot like to control all the attribute fields and user can enter only from input fields?
