IBP Excel Add-in Web Authorization/Log-in Window Does Not Appear

At the start of the process to set up a connection in the Excel Add-in for IBP I am required to "Lookup a Planning Area" when creating a connection to log-in to IBP via the add-in. The web authentication window appears, but is never populated with a log-in and password field.

I have tried--uninstalling the add-in, rebooting and reinstalling the add-in, both with an x86 and x64 version of the add-in and coinciding version of Office/Excel; along with wiping the caches of IE, Edge and Chrome--to no avail. I have also tried clearing the registry of my computer and am about to try recreating my windows profile to see if that might help in some way. At this point my next step is to wipe the entire computer and start fresh, unless anyone may have seen a similar issue and have some suggestions? Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Below are a few screenshots of the issue I am seeing, what I should be seeing and a piece of the install log i was able to capture as it flashed across the screen.

It is always worth clearing the Internet Explorer COOKIES on such cases, since the logon credentials are stored there and may be corrupted. With your OS re-installation, naturally that wouldn't be an issue anymore as well.

Regarding the ngen.exe popup messages, that are some expected .NET Framework warning messages and does not have any impact on the add-in installation and usage, it can be safely ignored.

Best,

Ivan

hi

I had the same when installing the SP3 of 1908 addin, and only with that one, a few days ago

For me it worked to de-install, clean all caches including the ones when you go on edit in the log on popup, run the registry cleaner and re-installed

Maybe it would be best to open a ticket. Until now I thought it would just be my bad laptop, but if you habe the same and as well the same addon, it might be a bug

Thank you for your response Irmhild. Cleaning caches, and re-installing did not work in my case. Repairing the registry, user profiles, new user profile creation and office re-installation did not work either. Eventually I had to wipe my computer and start from a fresh OS install and reinstall MS Office and the add-in. That did work in the end, but I cannot say if there was any way to have avoided that necessity.
