In the most recent version of IBP, disaggregation settings are driven by Disaggregation mode and Proportionality along with an Aggregation mode.
It appears the disaggregation mode refers to Time-based disaggregation and proportionality refers to structural dis-aggregation.
is the setting to disaggregate equally refer to a monthly forecast splitting into weekly at 25% each week?
thanks.

Mark,
The Disaggregation defines the overall method which can be controlled by Proportionality. The proportionality can have following values. Each value behaves as described below;
ValueDescription
No Proportional Disaggregation
Values are disaggregated according to the disaggregation mode.
Same Key Figure – Stored Values
If the stored values of the same key figure are not 0, the aggregated values are disaggregated proportional to them, otherwise according to the disaggregation mode.
Same Key Figure – Calculated Values
If the calculated values of the same key figure are not 0, the aggregated values are disaggregated proportional to them, otherwise according to the disaggregation mode. In this case, a disaggregation expression is generated based on the calculation rules during activation.
Other Key Figure – Stored Values
If the stored values of the key figure specified in the Key Figure for Proportionality field are not 0, the aggregated values are disaggregated proportional to them, otherwise according to the disaggregation mode.
Disaggregation Expression
If the resulting values of the disaggregation expression are not 0, the aggregated values are disaggregated proportional to them, otherwise, according to the disaggregation mode.

Excellent. So the disaggregation is a combination of both fields. It looks like we have to interpret this for both
Structural Dis-aggregation - Verticall from Top to Bottom and
Time-based Disaggregation - Horizontal from a larger time bucket to a smaller time bucket.
Thank you Gentlemen!

Hello Mark,
The Disaggregation Mode = Equal Distribution means, in your example, that the same percentage would be split into all weeks of that month. So if the month has 4 weeks, you're correct, it'd split into weekly at 25% each week.

Thank you.
But the real question is this disaggregation setting affect only the time-based setting? And is this the only setting that controls the split?
I don't like the equal split I want this to be proportional to the week of the month organic split. If so, how would I effect this change?
Mark
Hi Mark,
Ok, I see. In that case, you can use the Proportionality field, as mentioned by Rahul in the other comment. More details can be found in the Configuration of Proportional Disaggregation - SAP Help Portal.
Best regards,
Matheus
