IBP Data Realignment - Adjusting Master Data

Hello All,

I have setup a project in Manage Realignment Rule fiori app for adjusting master data with following mapping.

After running the job, system creates new records in following master data only (includes simple and compound MDTs).

BATCHPRODUCT, CUSTOMERPRODUCT, DELIVERY, LOCATIONPRODUCT, SALESORDER, SOURCELOCATION

However, system doesn't process other master data types like Production Source Header, Production Source Item etc. Any thoughts why is it not processing other master data? Please suggest if any additional setup is required.

Hi Piyush,

it is difficult to assess the described situation without knowing your model in detail. Here are the rules used in Realignment to determine Master Data Types and create / delete records for them.

Determination of Relevant Master Data Types (MTDs)

• All simple MDTs are processed that contain all attributes of the Attribute Mapping as non-root attributes.
• All compound MDTs are processed that contain all attributes of the Attribute Mapping as attributes.

Creation and Deletion of Master Data Type (MDT) Records

• Simple MDTs
  Realignment does neither create nor delete records of simple MDTs, it may only change non-root attributes of existing MDT records. The reason is that the creation of MDT values is considered as a separate process which may involve different people / systems.
  
• Compound MDTs
  - If needed new records of compound MDTs are created. Prerequisite is that the key attributes exist in the referenced simple MDT.
  - No existing records of compound MDTs are deleted

Please review the results of your realignment run with respect to these rules. In case the system behavior is deviating for your example please create an incident on component SCM-IBP-BF-RLG.
