Hi,
You have a requirement to use time as a dimension to aggregate periods. You can calculate year-to-date (YTD), quarter-to-date (QTD), and other similar aggregations using this approach.
This example illustrates the configuration required to use time as a dimension to aggregate periods. It uses a product master data type with two products, P1 and P10, and a sales key figure, at PERPROD level, as shown in the following table:

Quarter-to-date and year-to-date totals are shown in the following table:

Lingaiah's answer and link to the respective SAP not will do the trick. But in case you are already on IBP version 1905, I would strongly recommend to use the newly introduced function "IBP_CAGGR" which makes this kind of calculation more easy.
