HU - 2 item lines for same material/batch combination

Hi experts,

I have an HU in the system with 2 item lines for the same material/batch combination:

I have confirmed the task in RF, move product from location to HU.

Why do Ihave 2 positions and EWM does not combine same material/batch? Is there something in customizing I am missing?

Thanks

Michael

Hi, Michael,

there are two possible reasons for this:

1. in an outbound scenario you picked the material for two different outbound deliveries (check stock reference/"Bestandsref.")

2. the products have different stock IDs ("Bestands-ID")

You can check that by double-clicking the stock (not the HU) in the workcenter and checking the two fields in the "Product" tab.

Hi Jochen,

okay, helpful! Checked the stock, different Betands-IDs.

What happened in background:

Have a task for the full qty, in this case it's case pick.

I only have 2208 of the full qty of ~5000 available on that location, so I confirm this part.

After that, I do a replenishment for that case pick location (same material/batch), and pick the rest...

Is it possible to force EWM to combine that stock? As (from customer view) it's the same 🙂

Thanks a lot!

Hi, Michael!

By default, EWM is setting the stock ID to the warehouse number concatenated with the Goods Receipt booking's warehouse task number. Your stock ID seems to be deleted upon putaway to the final bin during GR. You have several possibilities to solve your "flaw":

1. Customize your final storage type to not delete the stock ID (remove checkbox "delete stock ID"/"Bestandsidentifikation löschen")

2. Use BAdI /SCWM/EX_CORE_CR_STOCK_ID to set the stock ID during pick (for example to your OBD's DOCNO+POSNO)

3. move your HU to a workstation that lies within a storage type that removes the stock ID - i.e. customize your OBD packing workstation's Storage type as mentioned above ("delete stock ID")

Jochen,

perfect hint!

problem is not the deleting of the stock ID, problem is that for the used process type the Stock ID control is set to C (Always assign stock identification anew).

So as I have to create a new task because of the intermediate replen, also the stock ID differs.

At the end I have to think about that 🙂

Thanks a lot Jochen!
