How unsold stock affect my Safety Stock for the present week in IBP IO?

Hi Team,

We have doubts about how does IBP IO calculate the Safety Stock for the present week, does it consider the “unsold stock” of the past week?

We tried some examples working with previous weeks on the 210 & 220 planning views from SAP3. A product whose demand was, for example, 100, and the sales were only 90... what happens to the 10 "unsold stock"? Is it being reclassified to someplace else? Or do we need to establish a location for it?
