we have a scenario where we want to bring firmed planned order into IBP to be used in TS S&OP infinite Heuristics.
Planned orders are generated based on MRP run of the production receipt send from IBP to ECC. There after the basic start date and finish dates are re-adjusted based on certain customized logic in ECC and the planned orders are firmed. There after we want to bring only these Firmed planned order into IBP so that heuristics will consider these new dates and plan the production receipt and capacity demand accordingly.
E.g.- We have product P1 in Location L1 with heuristics output of production receipt in 0 qty planned for MTH 01 in 2021 and 3 qty in MTH 08 in 2021ibp-produciton-output.jpg. Now we send this to back to ECC. During firming of the planned order, receipt planned for MTH 08 in 2021 is moved to MTH 01 in 2021ecc-firmed-planned-order.jpg. Now we will send these details to IBP so that when we run the heuristics again it should generate production receipt and capacity demand of 3 + any additional production receipt(if there are any new demand for the week than the last run) in MTH 01 in 2021 and 0 in MTH 08 in 2021.
How can we map this scenario in IBP.

Hello Mukesh,
You may integrate the production receipt value from ECC into the key figure MINPRODUCTION in IBP. This input key figure is related to the Production Receipts key figure in IBP and defines the minimum production quantity. The heuristic will then try to plan production receipts (in that period) that are equal to or higher than this value (but not below it).
This key figure is usually used as the output quantities of a production order planned by SAP SCM, SAP ERP, or any other external system should be specified in this key figure.
More details in the SAP Help Portal Production.

Hi Matheus,
Thanks for the quick response. I have also though on that to use MINPRODUCTION but there is a problem with this. Suppose in any particular time period we maintain a quantity let's say 2 and when the heuristics run, it finds out there is a actual dependent demand on the product for 3 quantity. So in this case heuristics will plan production receipt for 3 quantity and ignoring the additional 2 which we require i.e. in total 5 quantity.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Hi Mukesh,
In your example, the heuristic would produce 3, not 5. Only 1 additional unit on top of MINPRODUCTION = 2.
You can also test these scenarios in your test system.
Then, in your case, you can try using the ADJUSTEDPRODUCTION. The heuristic take the given values instead of calculating the corresponding production quantities. It'll produce exactly the value on this key figure.
PS: you add data to ADJUSTEDPRODUCTION via the key figure ADJUSTEDPRODUCTIONRECEIPT
See details in Adjusted Key Figures.
Best regards,
Matheus
