How to use 'Assign Forecast Model' functionality / Feature in IBP ?

1 ) I would like to understand the functionality of 'Assign Forecast Model' and implement in our IBP Project.

2 ) Prerequisites, Settings required to implement 'Assign Forecast Model' functionality / Feature in IBP ?

3 ) Sequence of Steps to execute and how to check the results ?

Hi,

1 ) I would like to understand the functionality of 'Assign Forecast Model' and implement in our IBP Project.

It depends on the project requirements, Assign Forecast Model selection based on historical sales patterns. The best option is to create the "Best Fit" model using the all possible SAP standard (based on license S&OP and Demand) forecast models. So that IBP application select the best fit forecast model based on sales history.

2 ) Prerequisites, Settings required to implement 'Assign Forecast Model' functionality / Feature in IBP ?

Sales history must be available.

If customer implementing Demand module then before running forecast process, pre and post processing steps can be used to clean the sales history. This process will improve the forecast accuracy to remove the outliers.

3 ) Sequence of Steps to execute and how to check the results ?

1. Load sales history
2. Create forecast model
3. Perform history cleaning steps (Optional)
4. Execute or schedule forecast run
