How to trigger the defect recording and notification creation by using the API?

I tried to pass the result from external system to SAP by using the API: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/a08e12a754cf4891b41a01a285d065bb/11aead0522e14014857...

I noticed that it mentioned in the page that I should be able to create the defect automatically:

Now the result is created successfully for my inspection lot. However, the defect and notification is not created.

I tired with the same data in the front-end and it works.

• Notification type is assigned to the target inspection type
• In the assigned inspection plan, there is only one characteristic with control indicator "Defects recording" ticked and "Defect codes for rejection" assigned.
• During the result recording, the status is updated to '5', valuation is given with "Rejected"

Do you have any idea why it doesn't work with API? Did I miss anything?
