Anyone find a way to suppress totals in DP (Demand Planning) Pivot View?
In the Change Layout > Display options for Pivot Views is one for Display totals lines above the entries. We always have that unchecked but still get Totals in the Pivot View. If I do select that option I see no change and the option selection disappears when I go back in.
Request clarification before answering.
Thanks Michel,
Yes we posted the OSS Message.
We recently stumbled across a Macro workaround solution using the Hide Rows and Show Rows macros. Is that the approach you were referring to?
Yes, the macro approach works but we found that it does have a moderate impact on performance.
We were hoping that SAP had a place to turn off the Totals in the Pivot View since they take up valuable realestate, significantly affect performance, and frequently lead to data entry errors if users mistakenly enter their forecasts on a Total Key Figure line.

Hello Robert,
There was a similar OSS message opened few days ago, that I am not sure if was from your company. The answer is below:
"
The "Display" in "Change Layout" you are referring to in the attachment
is not meant to be used for the planning grid - it is only a standard
feature for the button list control displayed on the tabstrip "Pivot
Sorting", e.g. to sort the button list or to choose the
displayed columns (button function, text) and so on. Not all of that
features make sense since it is only a simple button list. However, the
features are provided by the standard control. The same "Change layout"
option is available on the "Navigation Path(Drill down)" tab also.
Therefore the functions do not refer to the planning grid in
interactive planning but to the button list control on that tabstrip.
The only way to achieve your requirements is by
writing a macro which hides the unrequired total row.
"
The best regards,
Michel Bohn
