How to stop Source HU proposal during Allocation Warehouse Task Creation in 2 Step Wave Pick

Is there a way to stop SAP from creation an Allocation WT in a 2 Step Wave Pick with Source HU filled in. Customer would like to choose any HU of their choice to allocate the HU to an OBD. Tried changing "Level of Available Qty" from blank to 1. But it isnt working as expected.

Could you please try below steps and let us know the result.

Move the stock into another Storage type ( Clean the stock) , then configure space to 1 then reload the stock into...then Create pick WTask.

Hi Ajit - Thanks your input. But I have tried changing that field when the storage type had no stock. The change in config works fine when a pick is done but isnt working for allocation. Not sure if thats the case or am missing something.

Sorry this is the standard behaviour of Sock distribution to Outbound ( Actual Picking to Outbound Delivery) thats why you used 2 step Process, however there is another option to optimize. What is your version ?

1 > Use Optimizer settings - HU will be intermidieate location where allocation stock to Outbound so business has less option. Move rest picked HU from withdraw to Staging/repacking...I totally agree you and business, it would very difficult to find the right HU where they would break so addition of this process would help business. Addition to this, you can divide bin location to sub division means Make it multiple bins in stead of 1 and keep 1 or 2 HUs max  per sub divided bin for better visibility. It definitely improve process,I know this need to work closely with business. In this case business does not need much search of HU...

 

2 > Other option is enhancement in RF if business is not agreed in option 1. 

Missed 1 point: ( added later ) Also create auto WT  for allocation( Ignore if already you used 😞
