How to select components for SNP Optimizer automatically

Any suggestions on how to select all the components automatically for SNP Optimizer?

It seems like the SNP Optimizer only allows usage of a Selection ID.

But how do we populate the selection ID with all the components required for all the Finished Goods?

Both CTM and SNP Heuristics will select the components automatically.    I don't see such functionality with SNP Optimizer.

I don't want to re-plan all products as we only use SNP Optimizer for a small subset of materials.

Hi Ken,

You can identify these materials with specific SNP planner or if there is a specific number range in which the material codes fall it can also be used.  With this you can create a selection ID.

There is no difference in the way one selects materials automatically for heuristic or for optimizer.

The planner would obviously be different for each type of material.

The issue is to select the components automatically, I have no problem selecting the finished goods.

And yes, both CTM and Heuristics will do this.

For CTM theres is a setting in CTM selection profile to automatically select components and for SNP Heuristics you just select "Take into account found components".
