Hi All,
I understood that multilevel heuristic cannot be scheduled in background through /sapapo/snp01.
I just got to know that Network heuristic running with an indication "Take in to account found components in planning run" would serve the same purpose.
However I would like to know how can we schedule multilevel heuristic in background and how multilevel heuristic is different from network heuristic with an above mentioned indicator.
Thanks in advance.!

Hi,
To answer your first question, how to schedule a multilevel heuristic?
Always generate a low-level code before you schedule multilevel/network heuristics. You can also use the setting calculate from current selection before planning for temporary low-level codes in the variant for /sapapo/snp01. Low-level code is required for SNP heuristics to determine the correct planning sequence. In the variant, check network heuristic and take into account found components in planning run and a selection profile. Schedule this program with a variant in background.
Answering your second question
Lets say you a Product X at Plant P1, P2 and Distribution center DC1 and DC2.
T-Lanes exist from P1->DC1 and P2 ->DC2
PDS for X @ P1 and X@ P2 which has components C1, C2 at both the plants.
Network heuristic: As per the sequence determined by low-level code, heuristic evaluates product X at all locations and generates receipts at X-DC1 from P1 and X-DC2 from P2.
Multilevel Heuristics: As per the sequence determined by low-level code, heuristic evaluates product X at all locations and generates receipts at X-DC1 from P1 and X-DC2 from P2. The heuristic then explodes the PDS of the products at plants, evaluates the dependent demand for components C1, C2 at both the plants and generates Receipts for them as well.
