How to scan 2D lable and post GR in SAP EWM system

Dear Team,

Our requirement is to scan the 2D label by using an RF scanner and update/post the serial number and GR in the EWM system. We are getting serial number information with a 2D label on the pallet, sometimes we may receive more than 100 serial numbers ( 100* 10CHAR = 1000 CHAR values) in one 2D label for a pallet.

All the serial numbers information is available in the 2D label. As of now we are opening the pallet and scanning serial numbers each product-wise but our actual requirement is to scan all the serial numbers in one go.

At this point, the serial number filed is not supporting not more than 256 CHAR values in EWM as well as in ECC.

kindly look into this issue and provide the solution for the same.

Hi Daniil,

Thanks for your reply, we have tried as you suggested development, but the maximum field length SAP accepting is 256 CHAR from the RF and remaining value is concatenating. we need to increase this to at least 4000 CHAR.

Hi, you can always do a development (e.g. own screen, with a text field), parse the value and post all SNs in a background.
