Hi All,
We have a requirement that during put away a product should be allowed to store in a particular storage type and even if try to change the storage type manually, system should not allowed. This restriction should also work for bin to bin stock transfer. All the products in the warehouse are temperature controlled hence products should be maintain under specified temperature only. For example material ABC should always be maintained under -40C, product DEF should be maintained at -200C.
I have maintained the put away strategies in which the system automatically picking the particular storage type but not restricting while changing it manually.
Please suggest
Appreciate your help!

Sachin

Hi,
there is nothing I know on storage type level where you can control this.
But for this you use the storage section search / check. This is specifically to control that someone can not change the destination bin into one in a section where the product should not go to.
So you define section indicators for your different temperature zones and set up the determination / check accordingly.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
