Hello,
Is there any way to limit the number of periods for early production in time series finite heuristic ?
For example, we have a key figure 'Maximum Late-Delivery periods for customer demand' for specifying the number of periods for late delivery.
Thank you.

Hi Bindhu,
There is no feature/parameter in the finite heuristic that ensures that a future demand is not planned in the earlier weeks. The Finite Heuristic tries to fulfill the demand as late as possible. But if it is not possible to fulfill the demand with the highest priority SOS in time, it will first try to generate early supply with the highest priority SOS before it tries to fulfill it with the second priority SOS in time. If there is a receipt in a period earlier than the demand period, it must be because of some constraint like capacities, lot sizes or it could be Inventory Target. There is no option to enforce a maximum allowed earliness.
I have been waiting for solution on this matter myself. Hoping SAP will address this in future releases.
Thank you
