How to map a custom EWM stock type to one of standard SAP ERP stock types?

Hello all,

Was wondering if anyone knows how to map a custom EWM stock type to one of the three standard SAP ERP stock types (unrestricted/quality/blocked)?

I have a situation where a new EWM stock type has to take affect on ERP as well.

Thanks!

JD

Hello Ajit,

Thank you for your reply. Here's my situation, we are on a legacy system that has quite a few stock types (defining whether the stock is salable or not). As per business requirement, we are to define those stock types in EWM and also bring in an effect in ERP when a posting change happens (Sloc to Sloc transfer as well as stock category change from UR to Blocked or QI).

With that said, I was debugging /scwm/post for following message and found that method GET_ERP_CAT_BY_CATLOCN in class /SCWM/CL_ERP_STOCK_MAPPER actually translates EWM stock types to ERP stock types. There's an enhancement point where I could right simple piece of code to map additional stock types. There are three tables that control movement type determination as follows. You might have to find a way to make entry to these tables because these are standard tables and there's no maintenance view-

/SCWM/TIMBWA: This table is to determine movement type 411 without a reason code.

/SCWM/TIMBWAU: This table is to replace delivery movement type 411 with transfer posting movement type.

/SCWM/TIMBWAUFC: To allow stock type change in delivery

"EWM data not supported for ERP communication: Non-Dep. Stock Type Z9 (Message no. /SCWM/ERPINTEGRATION114)"

With this, I'm marking my question answered and I hope this helps others.

Thanks,

JD

Hi JD,

As per my understanding, Stock types are always user defined name. Do you mean Stock type role in Stock type ? Stock type role are fixed in config, but you can add by new entries in Domain level of Stock type role, then it would visible in config.

Please let us know if you have further queries.

Kind Regards,

Ajit
