How to manage maturation process in APO & ECC?

Hi gurus,

We have a client scenario where some type of products need a maturation time before being distributed to the customer.

This should be a common scenario inside a Consumer Good company, that´s why we are looking for solutions to manage this process. Currently, they are using Good Issue to calculate the time.

You can define the Maturation time in Product Master /SAPAPO/MAt1 please read F1 help

The period required by a product after production before it can be used for further production or by a customer.

Or you can also use the goods receipt processing time

Thank you very much for your quick answer.

What we need is to complete the maturation time before stock gets available and I presume that Shelf Life data doesn´t give that option.

Hello,

In the product master, you must activate indicator 'Planning with shelf life'. Only then the system includes shelf life and maturation time.

The maturity date that is defined in the product master, is copied over to all product receipts (production order, stock transfer order,...) that are generated by APO. The maturity date of a product receipt is taken into account during pegging.

Customize the stock on hand macro to adapt the maturation time.
