How to maintain External Source SU number

Hello Experts,

Need your expertise in mapping the below process in SAP WM.

We do GR and the Materials get palletized (SU) even before creating TO & User scans the pallet then creates TO.

Here is the issue Source SU which is external and the same will be in Destination too.

How can we update the Source SU during the TR creation which is created in background along with GR posting?

Please give your valuable suggestions to map the above process.

Implement HU

external number will HU number and when it will come in WM it will be SU
