How to integrate Forecast data from IBP to APO SNP

Hi Gurus!

We want to integrate Forecast data from SAP IBP to SAP APO SNP. As far as I know, we should work with HCI, but we are evaluating these two options:

1- Integrate directly from IBP to SNP through HCI. ¿It's possible? ¿How will disaggregate to Prod/loc Level?

2- In order to avoid disaggregation issues; Integrate from IBP to DP, and then release the Forecast to SNP through APO standart.

3- Other options?

Thanks in advance for your help!

1) yes, possible.

You need to load ito a key figure that has the same planning level roots than your source. Data are  stored on the loaded level only! But you can use "split factor" (please refer to the model referece guide

http://help.sap.com/download/ibp/ibp40_model_ref_en.pdf

for details or open a seperate post) calculation and define the logic you want to display the data on a lower level.

That means: You can "split" data to lower levels by calculation logic, but there is no need to save them at lower levels. This you can than use for display. If you want to adjust the loaded values, than create a second keyfigure that you fill by either defaulting or copy operator, using the loaded key figure as input (which has lower level due to split logic)

2) well, that sounds awful, but sure it would be a possibility... Option 1 as I have briefly described is less effort and takes less space in the data base, much nicer 🙂

3) Load via HCI. But you have two differet options:

   a) load directly from SNP planning area via Web Services

   b) if you do anyhow backup your datra to some infocube or DSO  in APO or BW, you can load from the infocube as well.

I once posted a document on this, please check

http://scn.sap.com/community/scm/ibp/blog/2014/08/01/how-to-load-data-from-apo-bw-to-sop-via-hci

It may be pretty old and I never had time to update the new stuff around the web services and the new reports, but it provides an intial overview and is still valid when loading from BW data sources
