how to hide standard content in Freight Order

Hello

we need to hide the Charges tab in Freight Order for some specific users (based on their roles). what its the best way to do this?

using option 1) authorization objects (like T_TOR_OT) or option 2) via FPM ABAP webdynpro like https://blogs.sap.com/2013/11/20/customize-view-fields-using-application-configuration-in-webdynpro-...

or any other option?

Experts - has anyone used standard authorization objects successfully to hide tabs in Freight Orders? to me this looks like a more elegant, simple and efficient solution that doing the ABAP WebDynpro development........
