I am trying to enable the inbound transaction error handling feature for Work Manager 6.4 application. The following changes are made in order to enable the feature:
Configpanel changes,
-From the General tab, enabled the Inbound Transaction Active checkbox under the Inbound Transaction Management section.
-Turned on (set global value to Y) the global parameter with the parameter group of INBOUND_TRANSACTION_QUEUE and with a parameter name of Save.
SAP GUI change,
-Using the transaction code SU3, added the parameter /SMFND/INB_TRANS (with parameter value as X )to the Parameter tab to enable inbound transaction for each user ID in the back end system(The Require User Parameter box is checked in the configpanel inbound transaction queue definition and the Activation Token Value is ON).
After making the changes, tried to update and transmit a work order by editing the work order detail (description) from the WM 6.4 application client/device while the work order is opened in change mode (IW32) in the ECC system . According to the feature, the transmit must not stop with the error but the transmit stopped the usual way with the error message saying the WO is locked by the user.
How can we proceed with the transmit without error and instead see the error in the inbound queue for work order in the SAP administration portal (Syclo/admin transaction code in ECC)?
The work order object lock for the work order edit transaction is turned on (value-Y) in the configpanel client global by default.

Hi,
I followed same step but not getting result. Please provide your suggestions here.
I am trying to enable the inbound transaction error handling feature for Work Manager 6.5 application.
Configpanel changes,
-From the General tab, enabled the Inbound Transaction Active checkbox under the Inbound Transaction Management section.

Turned on (set global value to Y) the global parameter with the parameter group of INBOUND_TRANSACTION_QUEUE and with a parameter name of Save.

I have also add Z Bapi wrapper i.e., ZPM_DOWORKORDER_UPD
After making the changes, tried to update and transmit a work order by editing the work order detail (description) from the WM 6.5 application client/device while the work order is opened in change mode (IW32) in the system . According to the feature, the transmit must not stop with the error but the transmit stopped the usual way with the error message saying the WO is locked by the user.
How can we proceed with the transmit without error and instead see the error in the inbound queue for work order in the SAP administration portal (Syclo/admin transaction code )?
The work order object lock for the work order edit transaction is turned on (value-Y) in the configpanel client global by default.

Just saw this comment: The notes that I have on this features are as follows - the main information is that if you are interested in it, you have to activate the transaction you want to lock or do the actual inbound transaction handling. It is not enabled as "DO ALL". As a designer or configurator, you have to decide which among the transaction causes you the most grief and then enable the Inbound transaction handling on it.
I am going to paste some of the notes that I have on it. With respect to users using it in the community, hopefully they may give real production examples. The examples I am giving you below is just a how to general information.
Hope this helps.
