Hello experts, there is a requirement that safety stock is deleted by heuristics.
Normally, you could simply take this into account in the planning version and then the requirment would not appear in the first place. However, it is now the case that sometimes you want to plan with safety stock and sometimes without safety stock. Or sometimes planned orders are to be created for the safety stock and sometimes not.
What I am wondering, is this possible in principle with the BADI /SAPAPO/RRP_PLANNING. If I go in via Interactive Planning, then the requisitions are already known and are in there - could I then delete the safety stock requirement in the product heuristics?
I am grateful for any advice.
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I am not sure if you have gone through the OSS note 3020183 - Safety Stock in S/4 HANA, the function module /SAPAPO/HEU_PLAN_SAFETY_STOCK is still available in the S/4 system, however the solution needs to be custom. You would need to code your logic through the use of the above function module or a copy of it. There are some details mentioned in the above note.
I know its a bit of tough topic, unfortunately SAP has suggested to go through the custom route for this topic.
Hope it helps.

Hi Daniel,
If you are using APO- PP/DS have you tried to explore the SAP_PP_018 safety stock heuristics. It should ideally help you solve this issue. You can create the relevant requirements and receipts for safety stock using this heuristic and through copy of that heuristic you can as well delete the safety stock requirements. Please note if it is S/4HANA this heuristics is not available.
Hope this helps.
