How to copy Sales History Data from Phase out to Phase In products in IBP ?

Hello to the SAP Community,

Can anyone suggest me how to copy Sales History Data from Phase out products to get the sales history for Phase In products in the Product Lifecycle Management App in IBP ?

As a beginner, I am struggling to find this solution since I need this information to feed the Inventory Optimization module with the sales history for Phase In products for setting Inventory Target levels.

Any leads/ support will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sayan,

Using the Life cycle management app we cannot copy the historical sales from one product to another product.

We can refer to an existing/old product's historical sales to generate a forecast for the new/phase-in products.

If you want to copy the historical sales to the phase-in product then I suggest you please use the realignment concept with selected key figures option

Thanks a lot for the clarification. Could you please also share some documents (or maybe some screenshots of the system ) how the sales history of the predecessor items are used to generate forecast for the phase-in products in the life-cycle app ? It would be a great help for a beginner like me.

Hi Sayan

The simple way to do that is to use realignment if you are not using lifecycle management in your forecasting process. If you are using life cycle then the shift of demand from predessor to successor takes place automatically based on the configuration and input you give in life cycle aap.

If you are not using life cycle and you have logic to define relationship between predessor and successor then you can use realignment to acheive the same
