Hi Abhijeet,

Unfortunately, selectively copying a particular entity configuration from one planning area to other planning area is not supported.

If you use "Merge with Existing" i.e. simple copy (in case source and target planning areas share same MDT), configuration in target PA will be retained and all additional configuration in source PA will be copied. On the other hand, if MDTs are not shared, advance copy will completely overwrite configuration in target PA.

Please refer below link to know more about Merge with Existing.

Thank You Piyush

i have doubt here

my master data is same

but i made changes in 130 KF among 400 KF in source planning area so i want to copy only those 130 changes in target planning area

So merge with existing option will work ?

Abhijeet, the merge with existing option keeps all the configuration in the target planning area, adds everything new from the source planning area, and updates the intersect configuration based on the source configuration. Please go through the link mentioned in the answer to understand all pre-requisite before triggering merge with existing.

Hi Piyush,

tried this logic when trying to merge SAP5 PA and ZSAPIBP1, advance copy of SAPIBP1, however we were unable to merge the two as their storage time profile levels and MDT prefixes cannot be identical. In this case how can one make use of the both the functionalities of both these PAs?

Kind regards

Malebo

Hi Malebo,

In case of different sets of MDTs, you have to opt for advance copy which will overwrite all config in target with source. In my opinion, there is only one option i.e. manual configuration.

Piyush

Hi Abhijit,

You can use DISAGG operator to copy KF from one planning area to another.

Thanks,

Hi Abhijeet,

To copy key figure values from one planning area to other you can use Copy and Disagg operator. There is a parameter to define source and target planning area. Please refer to the below link from SAP Help to know more:

Hope this will be useful.
