How to block materials which have only 50% of self life from sales orders

Here businesses need to block the materials that have only 50% self lifetime from delivering them to sales orders. But it can be used for production orders.

MRP should consider those materials only for production and not for sales orders. Is there any way to do this?

Also is it possible to find out the expired materials before the lead time and order it?

you could try using program RQAAAS10 (transaction QA07) to change status of batches. Then prepare batch determination rule for sales order that would exclude these batches. The batch determination rule for production order should include them.

The only problem is that the standard program doesn't allow usage of percentages.
