Hi experts 

please help me on this ,

i have new development requirement. there is an existed flow as DS --DSO1-DSO2-INFOCUBE in sap bw i have to add new field to INFOCUBE directly (no mapping in transoformation level)and which should get data from some other dso say DSO3 with lookup method(ex say: 0DOC_DATE ) using matching key fields and apply and move these changes to development to quality please explain me the step by step approach with example if possible

Hi

 

How exactly do you plan to load the newly added field, if you are not mapping it in the TRFN?

If you don't map it in the Transformation, then in the next load no values will be updated. Also there is a Lookup ruletype for transformations:

For adding new characteristics to Infocubes with specific rules, check the document:

Remodeling an Infocube

It offers you to write a customer exit to fill the values into the newly added characteristic the way you like it.

Hi Roland,

Thank you so much for ur time and replay on this.

i want to use the highlighted option from field assignment as shown below in snip but not sure , how and what the way i can develop this to bring data from look up dso, which have two similar key fields like target dso. can you please share me what precaution's and procedures should i consider in development system before sending this development to quality ... please assist me on this type scenario with step by step explanation..
