How the shipping condition in sales order will influence in TM for S4 Embedded 2021

Hi All,

I am new to the community.

Would like to understand how the shipping condition will influence the transportation management with respect to planning, FU creation etc .

Because currently at the sales order level the shipping condition is determined as standard (01) or As-soon-as possible (02) for almost all of the sales orders for different scenarios, now we are implementing transportation management in S4 embedded system and would like to understand if shipping condition is not differentiated correctly in Sales order level then what would be the challenges or impacts in transportation management planning, FU creation and execution.

Please provide the standard documents or help links or more details to understand this integration piece the influence of shipping condition in transportation management in S4 HANA 2021 Embedded.

Thanks

Kumar

Hi Sunil,

consired also the Shippng condition in TM embedded is mapping with service level codes, refer Oss note 2695744 - How to maintain Transportation Service Level Codes in SAP TM embedded in S/4HANA? - SAP ON....

You can see it in FU General Tab under (General Information - Service Level).

Hi Rogerio,

Yes I understood that service level codes in TM is corresponding to the shipping conditions defined in order level .

my question is if shipping conditions are not defined correctly at sales order level meaning that they define the common shipping condition all the time (for example 01 as standard) then TM side will be always only one service level code , so in that case what would be the impact in TM during planning and execution?

1. would it be challenging to determine the right MTR in TM side or to determine the right FUBR in TM because there was only one shipping condition defined at sales order level hence it will be having only one service level code In TM .

2. would it be challenging to differentiate the right FUBR in TM because of all the time there was only one shipping condition in sales order level I.e 01 standard shipping condition.

3. would it be challenging to determine the transit time or pickup/delivery windows in TM because of there was only one shipping condition defined all the time in sales orders hence it will be always only one service level codes in TM.

please explain more details the role of service level codes in TM , if we have only one shipping condition in sales orders all the time and it will be only one service level code in TM fright documents then what would be the challenges in terms of freight unit building and TM planning with one Service level code ?

Mainly the role of Transportation service level code in TM based on above case to understand the challenges in TM planning?. If we don’t have differentiation in service level code then would it be possible to go for optimizer based planning (or) it will be always manual planning in TM because of only one shipping condition at order level and only one service level code in TM?

Thanks

Kymar

Hello mca.sunil

mca.sunilShipping condition is one of criteria defining sales order integration with embedded TM. Configuration path: Transportation Management -> Integration -> Logistics Integration -> Internal TM Component Integration -> Define Transportation-Relevance of Sales Documents
