Hello,
I am wondering, how exactly the sequence number in EWM's layoutoriented storage control is used during processing of warehouse tasks? The number is automatticaly inserted in case the key fields are the same.
In some cases the system does not really seem to care about any additional lines. Are there some prerequesites? sap-help does not even mention it and SPRO help is also not really helpful here
Field: /SCWM/V_TROUTL-SEQNR
In a sandbox system I can see this:
In function module /SCWM/TROUTL_DET it is used as a "level" - so is it not meant to define a "wt-chain"?

Hi,
the sequence number is used to define alternative paths or routes, in case one is not possible due to blockage.

All the above is no official SAP statement.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Jürgen,
thanks for your quick reply. So, in the end it's not solely for MFS functionality? Is this feature somewhere described or documented so I can refer to in discussions more easy?
By the way - so the x-fields I- and K-point matter in the end whether i check them or not in case of integration- or pick point?

Hi,
" So, in the end it's not solely for MFS functionality? Is this feature somewhere described or documented so I can refer to in discussions more easy?"
This is not limited to MFS (AFAIK). But I have not found any documentation for this, also the F1 help does not really say anything.
"By the way - so the x-fields I- and K-point matter in the end whether i check them or not in case of integration- or pick point?"
To my knowledge this fields don't do anything, at least I have never found something working with it. In a non-MFS environment the I-point and P-point functionality is controlled via the storage types. I also don't think that these fields do anything with MFS.
