How can we schedule two production orders on the same machine in parallel

Dear all 

We have 2 materials which should always be produced together on the same work centre and are produced to anonymous stock. It may happen that both production orders should be rescheduled automatically e.g. because of planned maintenance, or because in a certain slot capacity overload exists. In the planning table in S/4HANA (transaction CM25) we could not find a way to reschedule automatically both production orders at the same time and move them together to the next available slot (e.g. 14:00). Or are we missing something?

However, we think it could be realized in ePP/DS. But my question is, could somebody please explain which heuristic, feature etc. in PP/DS we can use to accomplish this? Please find also attached an example picture.

Hello,

Try to go to the capacity screen in the work center CR02 and flag the option 'Can be used by several operation'. The system will allow you to put more than one operation at the same time for the same Work center.

Hi xavilopez92 thanks for your reply. The tick 'can be used by several operations' is already active. There are now 2 production orders and I was wondering how it can be accomplished to automatically reschedule both production orders at the same time via a heuristic

Hi Peter, just have a look in CM40 then. Then use the user exit to create a Z program using CM40 in the background.
