Hi Experts,
I have implemented Advanced Production Integration (S4/1909) as a set of best practices which is working perfectly fine.
My setup is one Warehouse with 2 storage locations (AFS and ROD), my production (PSA) is part of AFS storage location. When it comes to manufacturing WIP, I wonder how we can manage semi-finished products when it comes to a process. for instance semi-finished products should not go out from the PSA. i.e. not putaway of Semi-finished items into the warehouse. I wonder how we can manage to GR & GI of semi-finished items from the PSA? what would be the process if we mark semi-finished Items with "not relevant for staging". Any comments on the process and required configurations?

Hi Hamza,
Just wondering if you were able to find a solution for this? I am facing the same issue where my client has Semi Finished products that are immediately consumed in the next stage. They want to receive the Semi Finished in the PSA and consume it in the Finished product from the PSA.

Hi Hamza,
I implemented this same in one of my client via deliver based production using collective order concept. Here is my blog.
With advanced based production, I am not sure whether auto GR/GI of sub- assemblies will happen, however you can check sap doc where SAP says in psa stage staging indicator nor relevant will work for your sub-assemblies.
Please check Not relevant for staging section, here sap has explained how semifinished can directly be consumed from PSA, but it means semi finished product has to be inventorized. For Auto GI GR, only delivery based production will support.
Best regards
