Hello Experts,
I need to configure the Full HU Removal for the production picking.
When I checked in the system, I found there are two indicators for the full HU removal.
1. Warehouse Process type - Round whole units - (5 - Round WT Quantity to Available Quantity)
2. Warehouse order creation rule Filter ---> Complete HU indicator (A - Only Full Pallet withdrawals)
Can you please advise in which scenarios these indicators can be used? in Other words, can you explain the difference between these indicators?
System information : SAP S/4 HANA 1909 - Embedded EWM.
Thank you

Hi Aradhana,
You will achieve the rounding to full HU quantity with the setting you mentioned in the warehouse process type plus the HU pick control in the warehouse process type and/or the source storage type (the storage type is considered with priority).
The setting you mentioned in the filter for the warehouse order creation rule (WOCR) is used only to determine which WOCR can be used for a specific warehouse task. I.e. if you have a full pallet pick and the filter in the WOCR is set to only partial quantities, this WOCR won't be considered for WO creation for this WT and another WOCR will be determined. This can be used e.g. to determine a different warehouse process for full pallet picks than for partial quantity picks.

Jonas

Hi Jonas,
Thanks for your inputs.
Now I understand the difference between these indicators.
For my requirement, when the material is picked for the production process it should be full HU removal. But for the sales order picking, the partial picking is allowed. Hence I have done the this setting in warehouse process type instead of source storage type.
Thanks again
Aradhana
Hi aradhana14,
Addition to above.
As per my understanding, rounding is always challenging task, depends on business operation and WT would split depends on different parameters like storage types, different AUOM, Quantity classifications, Stock UOM/Pack specs...etc
For your cases:
"1. Warehouse Process type - Round whole units - (5 - Round WT Quantity to Available Quantity)" - WT would create for whole quant in the bin, example1 - Required quantity is 2, but pallet is stored with 10 quantity with single quant (Bulk Storage type), then WT would create for whole pallet (10), then WO would create via WOCR with filter full pallet (homogeneous) in this case. Business case- set these in WPT level for STO/Raw Material consumption in production for operation reason
Example 2- Required quantity is 2, but pallet is stored with 10 quantity with 10 different quants (Assume partial Pallet area- Not bulk storage type), then WT would create for 2 quant rather than whole pallet , then WO would via WOCR with filter partial pallet in this case.
Some of OSS Notes to get more knowledge: 1570661 - WO creation with full pallet withdrawal from bulk storage
2975785 - WT quantity rounded up for source stock specific WT ...etc
Please let us know if any further questions.
Kind Regards,
Ajit

Hi Ajit,
Thank you for your valuable inputs.
I understood example 1. But I am not clear with the second example.
Example 2- Required quantity is 2, but pallet is stored with 10 quantity with 10 different quants (Assume partial Pallet area- Not bulk storage type), then WT would create for 2 quant rather than whole pallet , then WO would via WOCR with filter partial pallet in this case.
Do you mean the two warehouse task created in this case to meet the required quantity 2 and these two tasks will be grouped in one WO?
Thanks
Aradhana
Hi Aradhana.
In the WPT, parameter Control f. HU Pick enter the number 1, than system propose the source HU as the destination HU.
Good luck.
