Does FSM need SAP HR to be implemented or can we locally create personnel names within FSM as well?

While FSM does have a master data module that allows creation of people in FSM the person, master data is usually synchronized from the connected ERP / CRM together with other master data and transational data.

The reason is that you would want technicians to report effort and material on activities which then is sent back to the ERP for cost collection. This only works if the people are known in the ERP.

For example for the integration with SAP S/4HANA or ECC we do not require a full HR Record but only an entry in the HR MiniMaster which can but does not have to be linked to an SAP user.

Yes, FSM has the option to manage worktime, bank holidays and reservations which can be configured of different types, e.g. training, sick leave...

Thankyou. If we assume that we have HR mini-master ,Is there a functionality to locally create the availability /Leaves/Training of employees with FSM rather than maintaining attendance and absence in S4 HR?
