Forecast consumption on hourly basis

Hi All,

I have basic question on forecast consumption.

Is forecast consumption happens taking time (hours) into account?

For example - if backward consumption period is defined as 1 day then it will consume forecast for the previous date or forecast within last 24 hours of sales order.
