Fix Storange Bin- Strategy

Hello,

I am trying to implement near fix storage strategy. I have defined a fixed storage bin for a product (0531-01-05-01).

It is actually the Picking storage bin. The system should store the products to the nearest storage location. i.e

0101-01-01-01...0101-10-02

0101-02-01-01...0101-10-02

Problem: The after filling the products in all the bins of 0101-01-01 TO 0101-10-02 it is not CHANGING To the next

0101-02-01-01. It is then only storing in the 0531-01-05-01.

Thanks alot.

kind regards

Hi Fahad,

Could you please review OSS 1557313 BADI.

1557313 - BAdI /SCWM/EX_CORE_PTS_FILT_SORT: Aisle change: Near fix bin

Kind Regards,

Hi,

"It should actually change the Aisle :)"

Yes. But when I tested it, I never got it running. Don't know if it is a bug or if the documentation is simply optimistic... it is exactly the same text as in WM. And I believe that simply the coding from WM was taken over, that's why you have to do the settings the same way as in WM (see below).

"what does it exactly mean"

It means that the structure of the names have to be the same and you have to maintain to extra table to tell the system which part of the name is aisle, stack, and level (A, B, C, which is hard wired, the system does not use the information of the bin generation tables).

Hi,

AFAIK: yes, this strategy does not do that. It also does not support more then one fixed bin (which is possible in EWM).

P.S. "Gang" is "aisle"... 😉

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
