Hi Gurus,
I am creating a batch in inbound delivery to be distributed to EWM.
Both the fields "Date of Manufacturing" and "Expiration Date" are greyed out in VL31N.

have maintained Total Shelf life is maintained in the material master as well.
Also this issue is observed in one of the two systems(clients) we have.
Came across below KBA's which didn't help either.
2357133 - Fields "Date of Manufacturing" and "Expiration Date" are greyed out in VL32N1790395 - Date of Manufacturing (LEMOVCHA-HSDAT) is disabled in inbound delivery
Not sure what else i am missing..any thoughts?

Hi Ajit,
There is only Rem.Shelf Life field on PO item level and it has proper value.
However on Run Inbound deliveries Fiori app things are working..will raise an OSS message.

I guess that It has provision to maintain shelf life in purchase order.
Could you please check in Purchase Order and confirm us back.
Else raise OSS Note.
Kind Regards,
Ajit

Hi Dominik
Appreciate your response.
I did tried both ways
1. Ensured the setting is at plant & removed the total shelf life in material master. Even then the expiration date field is not ready for input.
2. Ensured total shelf life is filled, even then the date of mfg field is not ready for input.

Hello haribalakrishna.sadhu3
Looks like the solution is in note 2357133 - Fields "Date of Manufacturing" and "Expiration Date" are greyed out in VL32N
According to the note, to activate "Expiration Date" in VL31N you need to:
To active "Production date" in VL31N you need to specify "total shelf life" in the material master.
That should work in standard unless you have some custom enhancements implemented.
Best regards
