Fields in Custom Business Objects

I would like to know how many fields can we add in custom business objects in s4hana system.

Is there any limitation of fields number/length?

There is no such limitation.

However, as the field continues to grow, the amount of stored data also increases.

Therefore, browsing data (or accessing it via OData service) may cause timeout issues, but this is not a limitation of the field itself.
