extraction from planning area

I am trying to extract data from planning area  from "generate datasource" from planning area maintanence....but i get this error...volumes of google search ..and manuals turned futile....if you can throw light the cause ,i can realise the effect.as far as this specific error is concerned i can solve there is a mismatch between datasource and pos...but in general how to extract data from planing area ..is there any proven method....??

As Sourabh as mentioned , a datasource already exists with the same name but is associated with a different MPOS. Choose a different name for the datasource
