Expiry date not getting updated for function module BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

Hello all,

From Migo I am uploading initial inventory stock (561), I am giving the details like material, quantity, plant,storage location ,batch number (maintained classification view) and when I post it,my custom badi implementation will be triggered ,there I am using function module "BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE" to create goods movement for 309 movement type , I am passing all required fields for item "goodsmvt_item" along with expirydate as "99991231" .After execution material document is creating, but when I check in matdoc table ,expirydate which I given is not updating , it is pointing to some other date

Any idea about why my expiration date is not getting updated? Please help .
