Hi,
Can you please provide an example on Additional Financial Data (AFD).
Why do we use this? I expect the answer with an example as I have already read the concept of AFD in below link.

One example of AFD is the entry in BCS of a change in the investment in a subsidiary along with the corresponding change in the parent company's equity. This is used by the consolidation of investments task.
Another example of AFD is the recording of the margins for intercompany inventory which is used for the elimination of the profit in inventory.

The AFD is supplemental to the reported data.
For example investments in subs would be entered in AFD for COI if the COI settings are to read the investment data from AFD. In this case the users would need to enter AFD for the investments in subs in order for COI to eliminate this against the subsidiary's equity.
