EWM System could not determine source storage bin Message no. /SCWM/L3008

Hi. I am having this issue and even after hours of searching, cannot find a solution.

One of the line items on my delivery is for packaging and for the qty of materials requested, 2x packaging containers are required. There a multiple packaging units available in the warehouse, all stored as 1 packaging item per bin, so we have many bins available to pick from.

This issue is that when I try and create the WT for the packaging item, I get an error stating that no source storage bin could be determined. My believe is that because the requirement is for 2, the system is trying to fulfil the total requirement from a single bin, rather than picking singles from multiple bins.

I'm sure this is a config issue, but cannot find where it is.. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

It means system is not able to find matching stock attributes.

Can you please check what are stock attributes like material, batch, owner, party entitled to dispose , stock type etc in delivery and what are in the stock available in the warehouse?

Hi, Sorry for the delay.

I have checked all the stock attributes and can find no differences between the delivery and the available stock. Other than the system is looking for a bin qty = 2, I cannot figure it out 😞

Are you manually able to pick stock from these storage bins?

Try to manually pick the stock while WT creation and see if system is allowing you to pick or not

Hello,

Can you please have a look into WT/WO Creation log. This log option is available on the same screen you create WT/WO.

Log will provide you more details regarding the source bin search.
