EWM Staging for Production - Master Data

What happens when you create a control cycle record (LPK1) with a staging indicator that differs from your EWM staging indicator? If you are using embedded EWM do you have to have control cycle records for each material in LPK1?

Hello,

1) Staging indicator in EWM control cycle is relevant for PMR (Adv.Prod.Integration). that is staging indicator 5 in LPK1 - always. Other staging methods in EWM are already guided from control cycle in ECC - no need for EWM to check staging indicators/methods if ECC already "decided".

2) From embedded EWM in S/4HANA 1909 and onwards, you can enter the EWM storage bin for your PSA already in LPK1 and you do not have to maintain the control cycle separately in EWM

3) No, you do not have to create a control cycle for all materials if they go to the same storage bin of PSA. . If you have detailed decisions on storage bins per material etc., you need separate control cycles.
