EWM Serial numbers not assigned to HU

Hi,

We are managing serial numbers at Document level (A) in EWM.

The picker captures the serial numbers during picking.

When these are then reviewed in the ODO, sometimes they are assigned to a HU and sometimes they are not. I can't work out why the difference! (this causes us issues when we get to packing)

Has anyone seen this behaviour?

Or can anyone explain what is the correct system behaviour?

......just to add some new info.

I have realised that the issue only occurs when we capture numeric serial numbers.

Alpha / alphanumeric are assigned correctly to the HU.

Strange......
