EWM - Re-use Pick-HU

Dear all,

I am currently doing a picking scenario which I need some help:

From the warehouse request, I generate the warehouse tasks to perform the picking.

I create a pick-HU and start the picking activities.

However, during this, I need to put an exception code because one of the bin is empty.

The WO is confirmed. So, I replenish the missing component from the reserve area to the picking area.

I launch again from the warehouse request a new WO.

But, what I want to do, it is to use again the same pick-HU i created before from the first warehouse order.

I have an error message:

E: HU 11XXXXXXXXXXXXXX cannot be used because it refers to other objects (/SCWM/HU_WM008)

Do you have any idea how can I manage it?

Hi Alexandre,

I don't think you can re-use the same HU the way you intend to.

I assume the confirmed WO has moved the pick HU to a packing work center or a staging area. If so, you cannot add more picking items to the HU through a picking process. You would have to empty the pick HU before you can re-use it.

Just an idea: can you merge the new WO and the old WO before you move the pick HU to the packing center? Like that you might be able to pick the new WTs into the pick HU.
